Hi,
I'm just back from the 3GSM World Congres (a big telecom. event) in Cannes.
Before I went to Cannes, I did a search with Google and found the following website: http://www.toutsurlesegway.com/archives/2003/11/le_segway_en_lo.html
Happy as I was I went searching for the place, on the address isn't anything related to Segways located. The only thing that you will find is clothing/fashion shop.
After some while I gave up searching for them. Walking through Cannes, I see to ladies in Texas Instruments outfit gliding on segways. As you can imagine I went directly after them, since I assume that they would probably have been rented in Cannes.
When I catched up with them, it appears that they only speak French. (which is weird for hostest on an completly english speaking event, but ok, apperantly they only have to be beautiful). So I have no clue where they are talking about and I can't make them clear that I'm looking for the address where you can rent them. After a while a man which is according to his badge working for the event opened a small wooden door next to the church to put the segways in storage.
To keep a long story short, I think that the rental company has stopped renting them or has moved to another location, unfortunately I couldn't find out.
If anyone knows more about this, please feel free to reply on this message.
