What happenned to the ban in San Francisco? Thought HTs were unwelcome by city officials?

The "ban" in SF is just from sidewalks, not everywhere.

Good luck with the new venture. Please keep it as safe as possible. Future incidents may extend the restriction to streets and bike paths. You guys have a very important responsibility...

Tom,
I am sure you have explored their site, including the "Tour Safety" page. It looks like they are doing it right.

Good Luck San Francisco Electric Tour Company ! :)

“Who goes out and says, ‘You have a better probability of winning the state lottery than making a nickel in professional sports. And by the way, last year two million exciting technical jobs went unfilled in this country because you weren't there to take that job. And it pays you 10 times as much as flipping burgers, and it's fun and it's exciting and you get to create things and build things and help make the world a better place and help make yourself a better living.’ Who tells them this?”

I thought the Wharf was more or less just a big sidewalk? Or is the Wharf entirely private property? You couldn't even get to Ghiradelli Square without a couple sidewalks. Color me confused. Glad for the foot in the door for Bay area Segging, but confused.
