Anyone know for sure if we will be "camping out" without electric - or have to forage for gas for our cars after the latest storm to hit Florida? I am still planning to go, but wish we had an update.

Every thing should be GREAT in Bonita Springs, FL. Jean probably missed them completly!

I live 90 miles closer to where hurricane Jean crossed the state, and we had very little problems in Sarasota.

I doesn't look like there are any major storms on the 'near future' horizon. We should have fantastic temperatures and georgous weather.

The storm ravaged the Spring Hills/Port Richy area which is about 3 hours north of Bonita Springs.

My son got hit real hard in Spring Hills, and has been without electricity for over 24 hours so far. They got hit with the eye of the storm. He said this was the worst storm out of all that has hit so far.

Just spoke to him this morning and he said the sky is blue, weather is beautiful, but trees down all over and no electricity.
