SCers, we will reprise "RollerBall" this year at SegwayFest! but with some new tasks that make it even more challenging. This will separate the wheat from the chaff and, even though everyone can participate and have fun, you will need to have the gliding skills of a master to win.
There will be a circuitous track that has close tolerances and several ins and outs where 360's will need to be employed. The crossing of several check points will have to be accomplished without touching the ever-so-close rolling balls.
A brand new game, invented by one of our own, is called "Grab-It". In this fun agility contest you will need good eye and "Artificial Hand" co-ordination as well as excellent gliding skills. Again, anyone can have fun with this game but it will take skill to win.
A variety of odd shaped objects are located in many areas that you must glide to to secure the object for your "Booty Bucket". This is not as easy as it sounds for you must be able to glide and chew gum at the same time. One thing is for sure...you will have a lot of fun competing!
Remember Segway Polo is on for the Fest and we will be forming ad hoc teams, so upon arrival at the Fest take a look around for good gliders that you might want on your team. Rules have been posted for Polo in a recent thread so be sure to read them.
The evening "lighted rides" are new this year and should prove to be a real winner.
Hone your gliding skills in the few days we have before the Fest....see you in Florida!
