Come out a tour your Nation's Capitol, with a glide that will feature Capitol Hill & the National Mall. Highlights and
lowlights will include Buffalo Bill, Charles Lindberg, Frederick
Douglas, J. Edgar Hoover, Joe McCarthy and Gary Hart/Rice Pilaf
houses. Historical tidbits on two wheels. If it is nice we might even be able to recreate Fanny Fox's foray into the tidal basin! ;)

A pitstop to juice up is planned and then a glide down the Mall past
the Capitol, Smithsonians, a secret(?) garden and the White House,
ending with the new WWII memorial.

Total distance is 6.5 miles. Meet at the Eastern Market Metro
elevator (above ground) at 3:00 this Saturday Sept. 11. We will
finish at the Smithsonian Metro.

Looking forward to seeing some of the sights that we only read about or see on TV. All from the elevated view of our HT's!

DC sounds like a great place for a new Segway Tour business ... wish I could afford it!!

“Who goes out and says, ‘You have a better probability of winning the state lottery than making a nickel in professional sports. And by the way, last year two million exciting technical jobs went unfilled in this country because you weren't there to take that job. And it pays you 10 times as much as flipping burgers, and it's fun and it's exciting and you get to create things and build things and help make the world a better place and help make yourself a better living.’ Who tells them this?”

We had our first tour - a glide on the mall from Union Station to the White House and then took the METRO to the hotel. Nothing like DC at night - all the monuments lit up and the strange people - thinking we were pretty stranger ourselves.

We also were the subjects of several international tourist's photos!!!

YE HA! - imagine gliding on one of the best days - the weather was perfect! And the sights - especially the private home tours were amazing!

Gliding in Washington is still one of the nicest pleasures anyone on a Segway can do!!!

Great to meet David Mebane of City Segway Tours - Again the French invade DC, just this time on Segways! (well almost French - they have accents from Texas!)

Last summer, my friend and I were in Virginia for some special high intensity training. We got a hotel that was right next to a Metro station. Each evening, we hopped the train with our two Segway's and went into DC. We rode around the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, the reflecting pool, etc. It was GREAT fun.
