Jim and I went down to do some mid-range planning with our new assigned contact at the Hyatt. Will Cornwall will be working with us on the convention, and as you can see from this picture of Will on a machine on the private SegwayFest! terrace, he has taken to the machine quite nicely!

This one is of the beach - the beach is actually going to be a boatride away. It is on the gulf side of the estero chain of keys (this one is Lovers Key).

Matt, Ladytime, and myself are, on second examination, extremely pleased with the venue for this year's SegwayFest! 2004. As Matt has mentioned we have been doing some planning on site and are struck with how beautiful and pristine this area is. We took time to glide all of the paths on property (amidst a setting of some 500 acres) and can report that you will be tickled and pleased with all of the wonderful sights to see.
The staff at the Hyatt Coconut Point is one of the friendliest and most accommodating we have ever encountered. We garnered smiles from all of the employees and an enthusiastic welcome for the HTs.
There are a couple of surprises that we are working on that will make this years event quite special and as the arrangements become finalized we will reveal them to you.
We are also happy to report that the food onsite is wonderful and the staff is very attentive. Everything from deli food to gourmet ceviche is at hand along with wonderful desserts, an ice cream store, and seafood to die for. An onsite Starbucks along with six upscale food and beverage outlets cater to your every whim.
The pools are delightful and there is even an overwater chipping green that uses floating golf balls. The kids will love the water slide and lazy river and mom will dote on the 19,000 sq. ft. European-style spa.
Add the Segway and all of the attendees to this beautiful property and you will have an unforgetable experience. We can't wait for all of you to experience this paradise on your HTs![^]:D[8)]:);)[:P]
