Why would anyone waste their time or risk their money buying on ebay when you can get a Segway from a dealer for $3950? RAVE is listed on the Segway website as a Minnesota dealer and they are selling them for $3950.

That price is correct, but there's a catch. To keep from infringing on dealer sales in other states, Segway requires that you take orientation at the Rochester, MN store - whether you've had orientation before or not. Add travel costs to $3950, and you'll likely be over $4500.
