While I was in Chicago, a friend of mine created a nice briefcase bracket for my Segway.
He has now put one up for sale on ebay. Very nice quality.

I love it! I think the price reflects the time and effort he put into it as well... 200 would be a bit high for me tho. Any idea how thick the steel is? 1/8 folded?
Looks amazing, i love it!
gotseg?

He is a metal sculpture by trade. Check out his website to see the cool mailboxes and doors he manufactures. www.outfrontdesign.com
The bracket he made me is very sturdy 1/8' Stainless Steel, and does not bend easily. I use a 1' lashing strap from Home Depot to attach briefcase. Looks good!
I think he could offer a discount for multiple orders?
He is very creative and would be willing to create various attachments for your Segway.

Oh wow! That is so gorgeous! I love metal, and all of the things you can do with it. A buddy of mine here is also a sculptor, but I'm not sure he could do that. I wish I had a Segway, so I could buy two of them!
I can hardly wait to see what he builds for the p:)

anyone interested in a similar briefcase holder should check with Wayne at www.kcaps.com - he makes a great item at considerably less expansive than the one mentioned abvoe.

Its looks great,
What other inexpensive metals can he use that are just as strong?
I am sure a segway user would not mind painting theirs,
just curious..

The metal isn't that expensive. It's the time and skill involved in producing something that looks this good. True; stainless is expensive stuff. Perhaps he could use regular sheet steel, and have the brackets powder coated to match the individual HT. Powder coating can be pricey too though. His site indicates that he also uses Acrylic and copper. I remember some folks wanting colored aclear acrylic fenders for their machines. Maybe he could start making those too?
Either way, I hope this guy sells this one, and is encouraged to make some more. It looks great.
