Kick Off in Manchester:

The team is embarking on a 100+ mile three day journey via the Segway Human Transporter to thank the cities that first embraced Stonyfield 20 years ago.

To highlight the importance of cleaner, eco-friendly forms of transportation in New Hampshire, Gary Hirshberg and Dean Kamen and other special will demonstrate how easy, convenient (and fun) the Segway HT can be!

Yogurt Pioneer: Gary Hirshberg will pilot the Segway HT the first 10 miles from Manchester to Londonderry for Stonyfield's "Free Cup Day" at its Londonderry headquarters; En route to Boston, the Segway HT will stop by Stonyfield's Yogurt Works in Londonderry, where visitors will find free cups of yogurt, games, prizes, tours, a life-size cow sculpture made entirely out of yogurt cups and more from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. At 1 p.m. Gary Hirshberg will be cutting the
20th Anniversary Cake. For more details, call Stephan Hengst: (603)437-4040 X2305

Photo Opportunity:
In addition to special guests and yogurt sampling, 100 or more Segway HT fans, riders and owners will be in Manchester with their Segway HTs at 10:00 AM to see the Trailblazer team off. Any photographers interested in getting aerial shots of this visual should contact Victoria Breglio directly at 617-204-4248.

20 Years of Trailblazing:
For 20 years Stonyfield Farm has "blazed a trail" in the food industry and, in that time, grown its organic yogurt into the largest organic yogurt company in the United States, and the number three top selling yogurt in the country.

Led by CE-Yo Gary Hirshberg, Stonyfield Farm is an example of a New England company that has survived and flourished thanks in great part to the support of New Englanders. In celebration of its 20th year, and in recognition of the great part that New Englanders have in the Stonyfield Farm success story, Stonyfield is embarking on its 20th Anniversary Stonyfield Farm Smoothie Tour visiting the first New England cities that welcomed Stonyfield, to hand out 10,000 free Smoothies to New Englanders.

Of course, being Stonyfield, this tour is being conducted in an environmentally friendly manner. Stonyfield is partnering with their neighboring New Hampshire business Segway LLC and handing out Smoothies via a Segway Human Transporter. The Trailblazer Team will be traveling from Manchester, New Hampshire to Providence, Rhode Island making stops in Londonderry, NH and Boston, MA.
