View Full Version : Self-Balancing Robots on TechTV's "ScreenSavers"

Hey guys,

Don't know if any of you saw today's "ScreenSavers" program on TechTV, but they did a cool interview with a couple of guys and two of their self-balancing robots. They looked a little rough and jerky compared to the technology we're used to with our HTs, but they were pretty cool nonetheless. All kinds of talk about solid state gyros, angular rate, feedback loops, accelerometers, and all that good stuff. Their robots only polled the sensors and adjusted the wheels 30 times a second, as opposed to 100 with our Segs.

Of course we'll get to see a great presentation on Segway LLC's technology employed as a robotics platform at SegwayFest, but in the meantime here's the link to these guys' Web site that was provided on TechTV:
