Went to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta with my mini pro. I rode all over the grounds. We were getting ready to leave when I was approached by security and informed I was not allowed to use my Segway unless I registered it first. I asked where to register it. I would have to leave the grounds, go to the museums (by car) and renter the parking lot and then renter the gate. I asked if people with electric wheelchairs had to do this and told no. I pulled up the ada and segways information on my phone and read the parts about it was up to the user to chose their device. I then informed the security that this was an unreasonable requirement and violates federal law and also leaves them open for a federal lawsuit. We discussed it while waiting for a golf cart to transport me and my Segway to the gate. As a side note I was allowed to take mine to the state fair with no problems.

You did a good job telling your rights, I wonder why he required you to have it register when it is normal to bring scooted in a fair.
