Blinky,
I noticed you haven't posted the Washington Post article. Your selection of news bites shows some bias.

One of the things I try not to do , when posting the news, is post two similar articles of the same news story.

I would appreciate if you would be responsible in your posts and refrain yourself from the use of name calling on SegwayChat. This will not be tolerated.

Excuse me but I believe it has been two sided however the opinions are one sided. And no they were not similar but of course the Post article was researched and provided a more rounded view.

Anytime facts and opinions are posted that don't agree with a moderator's opinion you risk being labled "irresponsible". Crazy comments (some even containing profanity) are posted if they generally give pro-Segway sentiment. If they don't you'll be hounded.

Emanresu, I am sorry you felt this way about the moderators here at SegwayChat. We had no idea you felt this way.

I was not aware someone could post profanity here on SegwayChat. Maybe you can provide us moderators links about such posts.

I think I answered your concern the first time around. I will not be posting the second article in the news section.

For heaven's sake!!!!!! It's obvious that Kinky drinks p... for breakfast --- even emanresu at times but let's drop the crap before this wonderful chatroom is ruined by people who are so defensive they shoot and then ask what you meant.

I'm almost back from a life threatening injury. I started to post to the previous topic before it was blocked and am so confused now-----I had no idea that anyone so intelligent as to buy an HT could be so careless as to care nothing for the unhappiness she is causing.

All I really wanted to do was remind everyone that my Bev's 10 to 12 week
laid up injury was a reaction to an HT being inadvertantly pushed when someone got off and the push unbalanced the platform to the fore, which put it in a speed-up mode. It would be a real improvement in our case if the HT had a quick automatic stop when it senses no rider.

Forgive me if I'm out of line but this is an absolutely terrible welcome back from the nearly dead topic.

What kind of message do you expect to receive when a man as nice and helpful as Bruce is allowed to be villified when his obvious purpose is to be honest and helpful. The kind of selfishness and meanness aimed at him and others trying to have an intelligent conversation will surely kill this chat room if allowed to continue. And, I may say, get the HT banned if authorities get the impression that some negativists aboard begin to represent 1/2% of its riders.

Welcome back, 2 - how's bev doing, and how are you?

Also glad your back, Ken. Post often. I bet your outlook has changed a bit huh? Hope you chose to share your thinking with us here.

Oh - I better say real quick before this thread is locked, that I would like to ask that Blinky could recuse himself (is that the right word?) from locking threads in which he is also an active contributor. SC has several other moderators for that.

Actually, Chris, I locked the first thread as moderator. Not Blinky. He didn't realize I'd locked it when he responded. Since he is a moderator, he can override a lock. It was inadvertant.

Thanks Pam. I sorta figured that out after posting. I would still like to make a standing request that moderators do not act on threads to which they are also contributing.

For instance there is a thread called "Locked Tread" containing a post by Kinky and a reply by Blinky. These posts seem to be now unaccessable. Also the post by Blinky on the locked "Metro Incident" thread is no longer there. All very confusing. Did Kinky agree to delete this discussion? Are we rewriting history? help?

Thanks for standing up for me 2totango. No worries. I'm more concerned (and relieved) that nobody was injured in this incident.

Which brings me to you two. Hopefully you and your wife will be all healed and gliding soon!

I moved this thread to the SegwayChat Home Page forum because it's a comment/complaint/suggestion about the site. In the future, these types of threads should be started or moved here.
