At the very beginning, when the guy stumbles backwards, is he bumping into an XT/x2, which subsequently tumbles?

Just watching Have I Got News For You from Friday night and spotted what looks like a Seg!

Yes, that looks like an XT or X2 with a stedicam attached, but could not tell if some one was actually riding it at the time it fell over.

It looked pretty inert as it fell. It didn't travel, it didn't seem to try to compensate that I could detect.

My guess is that it was being held for the cameraman to step onto after the bit of ceremony around initiation of the fall, and the person holding it lost his grip. I'm guessing it was powered on, but not in Riderless Balance Mode, ready for him to step on and zoom away. He probably stopped recording as he picked up his ride...

You can see the steady cam rig from the very first frame, and if you look at the first few seconds, you can see it move away from the camera taking the first shot...

At second 9 there is a split second shot of what looks like the cameraman on the segway as it goes down, but I cannot be sure...

What is sure is that the segway was not still, but moving in the first several seconds, but moving very slowly...

I think the plan might have been to follow the dominoes as they fell. It would have been a cool shot.

It's kind of ironic that the Segway toppled over - like the dominos, like the Berlin Wall itself!

Thanks, Thomas. A much better view. Clearly we can see the camera man take a tumble there.

Don't know why I'm continuing to document this but a friend sent a clear photo:
