Hello,
I have never owned nor ridden a Segway, but I am a disabled Vietnam veteran, retired from the Marine Corps and I am looking for one to use mainly for work. I have read some of the posts and I am facing the same challenge in a Federal building, EPA research facility in Research Triangle Park, NC, that some of you have written about when trying to use the bus or subway system. I do have a copy of the Code of Federal Register (28 CFR Part 36) from the US Justice Department that directly addresses the use of a Segway in any public building in the US, and I haven't read all fifty plus pages yet, but it may also address public transportation. Anyway, enough about my problems, I hope to enjoy conversing with learned folks with all the answers about Segways. As I said, I am looking for one and I probably went about using a Segway in the EPA building by asking permission to use one rather than letting them throw me out and suing them, but I try to do things the proper way.
