They should do a study on segway owners, before/during ownership!:D:D:DInteresting, but if you read the entire article you find that the vibration therapy has only been proven to prevent fat cell formation and doesn't have an effect on existing fat cells.

Not that the overall concept is a bad thing. Vibration therapy could help many that have lost weight but have trouble keeping it off.

When you read the line about the effectiveness of standing on a vibrating platform with a handle attached for 15 minutes every day, it's very easy to make the conceptual leap to that of riding on a PT.

So riding a PT with knobby tires would be a component of an overall plan to loose fat, but it's greatest effect would be that of preventing additional fat build-up. Other conventional fat-burning activities such as exercise would also have to be part of the plan.

And yes, there does seem to be a bit of circumstantial evidence in the form of testimonials on this board about the weight loss - PT riding connection.
