March 14, 2003 - knoxnews.com -- OAK RIDGE - Herman Postma jokingly calls it his "geek wheelchair." It's a two-wheeled, battery-powered, self-balancing scooter that turns on a dime, has no brakes and goes at speeds of up to 12 miles an hour. Its official name is the Segway Human Transporter.
