If they had all just held the flags and ignored the bag altogether, as the last (and quickest) rider did, it would be a much closer competition.

Looks like a canvas collection bag draped on the handlebars would have been more effective, as opening the i2 bag too far lets everything out and can be awkward to close from the riding position.
