Honda and California seek to jump-start natural gas cars
Oct. 9 — Aiming to boost the sale of nearly nonpolluting cars that run on natural gas, Honda says it will start selling a natural gas Civic and has teamed up with the maker of a pump that connects to a home’s natural gas line for fill-ups. The news comes as California officials unveiled a plan to increase the number of natural gas vehicles there from 19,000 at present to more than 600,000 within 10 years.
