24 years ago today (sort of) the Bulletin Board System (BBS) was launched. The BBS was the precursor to the current forum we use now, although in those days we had a limited number of users who could be online at the same time (initially it was one at a time).
EDIT - Oops, Jonathan caught a typo. It was 29 years ago, NOT 24!
So, let's all sing Happy Birthday to the great-grandaddy of the Forum.

Oops, my math is real bad. It is actually 29 years ago (1978). Not sure what made me put 24!

I used my first BBS in '78 but got my own in '83. I remember those Hayes modems and the their "lightning" speeds!
