MartyYes, I had forgotten about that. I plead that it's the same concept, but different availability. The chair isn't commercially available, the SUV conversion is apparently being done here (http://www.mattracks.com/), and the RC model was out last Christmas. (according to a RS I recently visited, their explanation why it wasn't in stock)

The people leaving comments on the chair on the gizmodo site were giving gizmodo a hard time because they put that article up a year previously.

Edit: Looking closely at the photos, the chair may be using the MattTracks LiteFoot ATV model:
