I just thought I would offer this to you folks as well- I am selling a Nintendo Wii that incorportates technology similar to that in the Segway PT. The controls are all motion activated so to move around you actually move the controler. Here is a video- http://youtube.com/watch?v=p5cPVP_llfo

Its related to the segway, its a device that uses similar technology to the Segway PT. Its also for Sale, so its in the Buy and Sell Forum.

Although the Wii remote appears that it may have either an angle-rate gyro or an accelerometer, i do not think it's technology is at all like the Segway PT.

The Segway PT incorporates all of these sensor readings in it's calculations, and then applies the proper torque to the motors to compensate for any weight shift on the platform, keeping your body parallel to gravity.

The Wii no doubt has to perform calculations as well, but does not do the same thing as the Segway PT

but, no wait. You're not really interested in the actual technology. You're just here trying to profit.

If you're going to make some absurd claim about using similar technology, maybe we can take this one step further. Segway's have wheels. Sure it's an "old" technology, but a very necessary on for the segway. Now can I sell my car on this forum? It has wheels too.

ps - It'd probably be best if you stuck to the standard rationalization of "I'd like to sell <item unrelated to segways> so that I buy an i2" to slip under the moderator's radar. That approach has been used in Buy & Sell before to successfully evade being relegated to the less viewed Off Topic forum. But if you go this route, you'll also attract dealers like bees to honey!

I see a lot of hateraid here,but you can all cool it a bit because if you were at the release in LA or NY you would have seen the 1st demo opertunity of the wii mounted from one of my customized XT's.
Segway Off Road was contracted through Adam of brandmarketers.com to do this promo.
You can see just one of many news articles online right now that show this.
Heres just one link you should look at before you complain to have this subject removed.I for one am glad to see it.So back off steveo!

Drew, if you were selling one of your pimped segways with a wii attached in the Buy & Sell forum, I wouldn't interfere at all. In that case it's clearly segway related. And if you want to start a thread about how to pimp your segway with a wii in the General forum, again, I have no problem with that.

My only problem is when a game system is listed by itself in Buy & Sell by someone just trying to flip it and make a tidy profit. This IMHO would be just the start of a slippery slope of Buy & Sell degenerating into a marketplace for anyone and everyone to hawk anything. Or in otherwords, spamville/ebay/craigslist.

ps - Drew, you'll even find me quite encouraging when it comes to pimping...I did end up doing a SketchUp of what we talked about at Segfest. I'm getting the parts together, and I'll be running it all by you to see what you think!
