was all the thing 2 years ago.

I think we have a mandate now for sure.

The people can make their voices heard when they don't like something.

Getting out to vote is our duty, just like it is with any organization we belong to. So when it is time to vote, you get a chance to make your voice heard. if you do not vote, no one realy hears you.

Looks any different to me

I think the word mandate gets thrown around way too often. It got tossed around recklessly last time and it hasn't changed today. Most of the races were decided by just a couple of points, just like two years ago. It's a dangerous word if people buy into it because the opposite mandate will follow soon if they do. In the end, we just have to wait and see but I expect that after bumping the minimum wage floor there won't be much difference. Blue or red, it makes little practical difference since there are only a handful of topics they actually disagree about, and that is only true half the time.

Meet the blue boss
Same as the red boss

We've all been fooled again

Well, I'd rather have a blue sheet pulled over my eyes, than a red one. :)

To each his own. I'll wait for the porcupine revolution or until one of the red/blue cartel decides that I just might know what's best for me. I guess I'll be sticking with the current folks for some time since they are the ones that don't care who is in my bed, what is in my gun cabinet, what medicine I take and how I spend my money. What I can't figure out is why the red/blue authoritarians are interested in those things, other than greed and power of course.

... What I can't figure out is why the red/blue authoritarians are interested in those things, other than greed and power of course.

That puzzles me of course, but then many things about people puzzle me. People just want power, and people in power want the world the way THEY want to see it, and whatever keeps them in the office is the way they want to see the world... And people in power seem to mostly get away with things.
