View Full Version : RAM to MP3
Can anyone recommend a utility (don't even know if one exists) that will convert a .ram file to a .mp3 file?

Pam,
This works, but you might have to pay for it...
Total Recorder (http://www.highcriteria.com/)

Thanks, I don't mind paying for it, but this looks a little complicated. I have the ram files already on my computer, I just want to convert them to mp3 files.

Pam,
If you search Google for "convert .ram to .mp3" (no quotes), you'll find dozens of utilities to do what you want... This one looks very simple:
RM-to-MP3-Converter (http://rm-to-mp3-converter.com/)
Try it before you buy it. It's supposed to do half a file at a time in demo mode. No restrictions if you buy it for $25. I haven't tried this myself, but you might want to check it out.

This one is the nicest MP3.

You don't need a converter... ;-)

Thanks to everyone who answered. I found out part of my problem was that when I downloaded the .ram file, I was actually downloading just a pointer to a server that had the original file on it. So, I gave up and actually purchased the mp3 files. However, I'm keeping the software suggestions for when I reallly DO get .ram files that need to be converted to mp3 files.
