February 27, 2003 - khnl.com -- Senate lawmakers today approved a proposal that would allow the use of the Segway high-tech scooter on sidewalks and bike paths. The measure sets a maximum speed for the Segway at eight miles per hour and requires that operators be at least 16 years old.
