Well?

East Coast folks, how was the show?

It's after 9 PM east coast time.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I watch shows to be informed. And while I'm sure it informed the average users, I felt they could have thrown a few things in for the segway owners who already know the basics.

Overall, it felt "preachy" for some reason.

I've sean dean speak at segfests, and on the odd video here and there. And of course they were all in the context of the moment; segfest, graduation ceremonies, product pitching etc.

It's refreshing to see Dean speak as Dean Kamen the person. It gives me a whole new perspective on the man.

But I did notice one thing that I'm very curious about; which reflects on his comment about wasting one's life doing unimportant things (hope I got that right). I wonder if Dean's closet is full of denim shirts?!?:D I don't think I've ever seen a picture or video of him in anything else.

Kind of reminded me of Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly", with his closet full of the same suits. Thank goodness Dean is for real!

I liked the ineraction between Dean and Isabella at the end where he throws out his arms to hug her, and she leans forward in the ibot to complete the embrace. Very touching, a great exclamation point to end the show with.

I've seen this episode replayed a few times on Sundance Channel a few times since its first airing. Great shots of Dean's house, though it comes across more like a museum with its huge interior spaces and displays! Also, you can see a few minutes of Isabella riding the iBot. As much as I'd like to see more segways around town, the world (and the disabled folks in it) really should have more iBots first.

Dean's house is gorgeous, but I wouldn't want to be the housekeeper there. (was there in December of 02) Too much to dust!!! :) Of course, we won't TALK about my house - LOL

My Tivo that I have programmed to automatically record anything with the word "Kamen" in it picked up this show for me. I watched part of it and it looks interesting.
