Check out this recent advancement in fuel cell technology. What made it interesting is how all the details made it seem readily useable for seways as it stands today! I'm referring to the part at the end where they say a litre of solution, generates 600 Wh. That sounds just like our batteries in volume and power!

ps - While they make their new technology seem safe, I noticed that they've had to make compromises as they improved it. The catalyst is ruthenium which is explosive...but maybe they use such small amounts its not important? Also they later had to add anti-freeze to prevent clogs. So much for having a non-toxic solution, eh?
