I saw a picture of a VW camper, but it was not a van conversion, but something that was towed, and it had the same look as the VW beetle, you know, that inverted U shape? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've googled VW RV and all I can find are the darn van conversions.

Help...

By the way, the one in the picture is pretty small. I got the image from a model toy company. It's a 1:18 scale model about 11 inches long!

THis might well be what I saw. Interesting. Looks like they may be custom made.

OK, I am very close to finding it. THis brochure shows with a VW (and everything is enclosed, not just a clamshell), but I don't know how they can, if the recommended towing weight is too heavy for the VW {sigh}. Does anyone know if "recommended weight" is "real don't go over" weight. IE, I have a Honda Element. Towing weight limit is 1500 lbs.

I couldn't get the pdf link to work.
