I saw this on engadget earlier today, it's quite interesting.

I'm glad to see many "eco friendly" products featured as mainstream tech stories lately.

I hope this is a trend which will continue and grow.

The development for that device started in earnest in 2003.

This just goes to show that cars are getting less practical to use for every little trip. The thinking is slowly taking hold that there must be a better way to do short trips than the car.

The Segway HT is a machine, but it is also an idea. An idea that was ahead of its time. That is why the Segway is still such a hard sell.
