I read once about putting a sticker or square sign on the segway. Anyone know where to get one of these items?

I had 4 of them made at a sign company.

Look for someone who makes decals and stripes.
Cost about $12.00
I put it on the bottum part of the shaft. It sure helps with quizical looks.

Good luck,Elizabeth

I made a copy of my state "gimp parking" sticker. Then laminate.

I fly one front and rear and have few problems.

I have seen 4" x 4" plastic signs at Ace Hardware etal.

Being cheap, I just painted mine. I tried to tape on copies, but none of my clear plastic tapes would stick to the front of the control shaft. I sprayed on a square of white latex primer, which also did not stick. I brushed on a square of blue crafts acrylic paint, PLAID Folk Art, Sterling Blue 441, then made a template and sprayed on the figure with the primer. So far, so good.

Very nice. I'm not that creative !

I use Extreme Velcro. The stuff is tough.

I've used it on the CS, 12.0 Bags and it all sticks.

When I was looking for an international handicapped sticker or decal that was reflective I found a label company that would produce them in any size I wanted from 2" square up to 8" square. I never followed up cause their minimum order was 100 and the cost would have worked out about $4.25 each. I couldn't find any "off-the-shelf". I finally settled for an engraved plastic sign 4" square that Office Depot has in their catalog at the printing desk.

Here is a possible source of Handicap Decals. Each 3 inch decal is $3 and you do not have to order dozens!

(I have not ordered from this company and know nothing of its reputation.)

I found this sometime ago. http://store.pleasureboatmarine.com/yhst-61703312489732/atfodrhoat.html

I got mine at ACADEMY sports and made a BLUE decal (4"x4") on my color printer and rubber cemented it to the front face. I then used clear 3"wide packing tape to cover/waterproof the front surface.

I used a metal plate which screws to a clamp that goes around the upper CS right below the handlebars.

It is always there, Does not get in the way when I telescope the CS for loading in the wagon.

Here is a photo from my DRAFT.cc account.

My wife uses a funky custom designed sticker that combines the handicapped and Segway logo. The sticker fits perfectly on the Segway's front trim. The sticker comes with standard glue backing but we used velcro strips in order to make it removable.

While I do think that the Seg/Chair sticker is cool, I also believe that in the fight for acceptance of the HT as a mobility aid the International Handicap Symbol is the way to go.

IMO, it's hard enough in some places to get in with a sticker that is universally recognized, much less a "new look" sign for people to take in.

your stickers/placards needs to have the expiration date and ID number, as for the person carrying a doctor's note, No they cant request to see it, only the state that issues it needs to view it. and approve your placard, this is a right of privacy and anyone that wants to contest whether you need more than a state issued placard needs to have a subpoena to view private medical records. as long as your number is clear on the sticker it acts as a placard and any law official can call it in for the validity. I bought a plastic pouch that I velcroed to the front it carries the placard and a copy of the right to use it. I have been stopped quite a few times, and every time they they started to make any fuss about it I told them to call it in or call their supervisor. Each time they always apologised for stopping me.

I use a copy of my State Sticker for the same reasons you do, but you don't need it by law.
