Kamens most recent patent ( as far as I can tell), has nothing to do with the Segway or Stirling. Instead, what he seems to be doing is putting an electric charge on any bugs ("infectious agents") in the vicinity of a surgical incision...then he sets up an electric field (presumably with a similar charge)...with the effect being that the bugs are 'repulsed by the whole situation'...so to speak !

Also, I heard Kamen said that they are woking on something for the deaf and will be announced sometime this year.

That's Awesome, Joseph. I hope that he comes up with something great, that proves to be quite beneficial for deaf people !!

Sometimes I think his medical inventions don't get as much recognition, as they deserve. It's amazing he has time for this 'other stuff', in addition to working on the Segway, and Stirling.

The iBot is soooo much cooler and more pratical than the Segway (wich is saying a lot, since I think 70% of the world pop could use one.)
