Having a little problem replying to a post. This is the error message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'
Could not allocate space for object 'FORUM_REPLY' in database 'segwaychat' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.
/forum/post_info.asp, line 1253
----end of msg----
Is it something I'm doing wrong?
Just posting this in case others are experiencing similar problems.
The post I was attempting to reply to was #12120

I've turned this over to our technical support people. Hope to get it resolved quickly. It's happening to a number of people, so it's not person-specific. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I just got word, it should be fixed. Let me know if it's still acting up.
Thanks,
Pam

KSagal emailed me and indicated that short replies can be posted without causing the error. I made some test posts of various character lengths and found the problem appears (for me) when the character count is over 298 characters. This message is 298 characters long...1234567890123456789012345678

Until this is worked out, I guess some of us will have to type more messages with shorter sentences. That's one way to get your post count up! This message has 278 characters. (no, I don't count them, I use a spreadsheet len() function to count them, then paste the text here.)

Also, the limit in a first, non-edited reply seems to be less than 278 characters. This message is 137 characters long and is not edited.
Thanks, guys for the feedback. It is helpful for my tech people.

OK, we are hoping it is fixed. The issue is that the server is running out of space. They're working on a permanent fix, but it's not quite there yet. I'm going to ask people to be sure and edit their photos down in size for a bit before they post them. If you have problems with that, you can send the photo to me and I'll be happy to reduce it. If the message happens again, please, let me know.
Thanks,
Pam
