Hey Everyone,

As most of you know I am from England and have been working in Pennsylvania for the summer. When I finished my contract I bought a car, and I drove to Boston, and over the last two weeks have made my way down the east coast and am now in Florida for approximately two weeks. While I am here I hope to take a Segway tour. I am presently in Orlando and will be heading for Tampa and Talahassee.
Is there anyone in these areas who can help me out? What is the cost of one of these tours and how long do they last?
If anyone can help feel free to email me ( radharvey@hotmail,com), or continue this thread here.
Thanks very much for taking the time to read this,
Ryan.

Hey, Ryan. Sarasota (40? miles south of Tampa) has one of the finest (and earliest) Segway tours in the state. It's run by a Chatter - Tom Jacobson at Florida Everglides. And Billy Kirkland has one in Sanibel outof his shop at 1509 Periwinkle Way. Both south of Tampa. Don't know what's available in the Tallahassee area (Rodney? Anything going over there?) Dan, is there something in the Clearwater/St. Pete area? (just west of Tampa)

When were you thinking of being in Tallahassee? Depending on the day, I might be able to drive over - but it would have to be a weekend. (2.5 hour drive each way for me) and, if there's no tour available, maybe Rodney can suggest some places to see from a Segway. I'd bring my 'i' -

Pam

Hi All,

Well, it's a bit too late for this time, but don't forget the directory of Segway Guided Tours website! It list tours using the Segway from around the world:

Being in Florida myself, I'm happy to report we have more listings from FL than any other state! California is a close second with several new additions lately, but Florida still has the lead...

By the way, if anyone happens to know of any guided tours that aren't in the directory please let me (or the tour operator) know. I'm always watching for new tour companies, but I can't possibly find them all! (This is a personal pet project, I do it in my spare time...)

Thanks,

Joe, I want to thank you for all the listings on your web site. I see it's been some time since any one has posted in this forum. To bring everyone up to date there is a Guided tour in Venice, Florida and another one in Englewood, Florida. Both listed on segwayguidedtours web page.

In fact, there are around a dozen or so Segway Guided Tours in Florida. The most of any state. The ones in Venice and Englewood are among the 'smaller' operations just getting under way.

Why donĀ“t all segway tours give www.segwayguidedtours.com a link on there pages and promote segways as an option for travellers? I have and it promotes segway use as first timers are often hooked and will look for segway tour on there next city/vacation.

Along for the Glide.
