A typical day in the life of a Seattle Segger

The highway’s just a blurr, a din
Of traffic that’s comprised
Of inefficient vehicles,
Most of them oversized.

Each solitary occupant -
A driver who will fight
To be the first that has to stop
At that next traffic light.

High on espresso, cel in hand
Each typical type A
Can’t wait to get from here to there -
Best not get in their way.

In sharp contrast, again I find
The sidewalk to be free
And glide along this private lane
The city built for me.:)

Segway - What's holding you up?

As long as I do not become
A shooting target then
I can continue gliding
In a happy abandonment.

Well done terryp. May be we should start a separate chat section dedicated to Seg poetry.

Thanks, Yossi. I don't know home much more Seg poetry can be written, but what I wrote describes how I feel commuting each day on a virtually unused sidewalk. In 14 miles (round trip) I meet an average of 4-5 people there, and can't help but feel that it's my private 'lane'.
