Segway battery
Hello my name is art and I am new to your form. I was wondering if any of your members have dealt with one of these two companies that rebuild segway batteries. One of them is a battery refill. They claim to rebuild the standard 3Ahr Ni-MH battery pack for a segway XT to 4.5 Ahr. That is 0.5 Ahr less than a Li-Ion battery. Is this true and has anyone use them?

Are you talking about BatteryRefill.com? They have a very bad reputation with lots of complaints, but I do not have personal experience with them.
You didn't give any info about who the second company is. If it's eBattery, then that is the same company as BatteryRefill. |

Another battery rebuild source is www.mtobattery.com.
MTO battery has a good reputation and is as well an active member of the forum. Although my personal business dealing with him was unsatisfactory the vast number of satisfied customers who have posted here has convinced me that they (MTO BATTERY) are an honest and good business. Just as a point of information, MTO is located in York PA, not that far from you. Mike in Houston Last edited by MagiMike; 05-14-2014 at 03:41 PM.. |

Mto
MTO seems to have many happy Segway customers. My only dealing with them was to have a couple 18V drill batteries refilled, and whatever cells they used self-discharge in about a week. Apparently, their Lithium cells are higher quality.

MTO has done well by me. I have purchase two rebuilds from them for my P-133. They work better than new.

MTO Battery
I have had many very satisfactory dealings with MTO Battery. They do an excellent job on rebuilding Segway batteries, both NIMH or Lithium, and stand behind their product to a fault.
Jason is a man of his word, and will do his absolute best to see you satisfied, even at cost to himself. You will seldom find a business as honest as this one. His guarantee is as good as a new battery, and service from his company is beyond exceptional. I operate a Segway tour business on the West Coast, and have been doing business with MTO since they started rebuilding Segway batteries. We have had many rebuilds and indeed have some newly rebuilt batteries on the way from there as I write. Obviously we are happy with the product, and, no I haven't any interest in the company. Joe

We have the ability match or exceed 4.5Ah. I recommend you call to discuss in greater detail so you fully understand the pros and the cons. I can be reached at 717-751-2705 M-F 9am-4pm.
Thanks, Jason
