two info keys together
hi is it too confusing to an x2 if you have two keys close by like in your pockets or can the new ones figure it out, what problems might you see? nocharging?or no start or what? i wonder if that might not be some of the causesofproblems we are hearing lately i think most of us must have two infokeysim thinking they must be like bluetooth proximity keys? like a harley?

I seem to recall that they can get confused a bit.
I recall that I did turn on the unit with one key, and when I went to turn off the unit with the other key, I got a weird response. (nothing that a couple key strokes could not resolve...)

I haven't experimented with this very much, but my guess is that, while you could probably confuse a Segway by using two InfoKeys at once, I seriously doubt that just having them near each other would make any difference.
I don't see how this could possibly have any effect on charging. The Segway has to be turned off while you are charging it, so you wouldn't even be using any InfoKeys anyway. The "button cell" batteries in the InfoKeys themselves are not rechargeable (or at least I've never seen rechargeable button cells, and even if you found some, you would have to take them out of the InfoKey to charge them). |

I've used two keys at once before, however I cannot seem to remember how they fared when using the one you did not start it with, to shut it down.
I can get you the answer in 4 hours when I get back home. Hopefully, someone can confirm before I get a chance. Quote:

Yes, I used to do this often; it can be convenient. Put it in RPM and up against a wall, no need for kickstand (and takes less space).
