Default New Segway Mini Pro lights

Just got my Mini Pro through Amazon and The headlights don't turn on. Also, the rear lights don't change color. I have a feeling it has something to do with the app (on my iPhone). When I tried to search for a firmware update, it said it was an illegal operation. I was signed in and registered. Anyone have any ideas?

I haven't toyed with everything yet, but the headlights only come on in the dark. Have they done that for you?

I got a response from Segway through Amazon...you're right, the headlights have a sensor. I don't remember seeing this in the manual. I also was able to change the colors of the rear lights last night - I don't know if this is connected to the sensor or not.
The firmware is pushed by the company. Doesn't make sense that the app has a button to search for updates when you can't. Apparently there are still bugs to work out, but it is a lot of fun. The machine itself seems really well made - I'm going to take it to an art fair today, which is one of the uses I purchased it for.

BTW, the responses from Segway were fast and helpful.
