InfoKey
I have an I2 and an X2, but lost the infokey for my I2 that I run my Pit Bull with. I have an extra key that came with the X2.
Can it be programmed to work with the I2? Assuming it can, do I have to take the Segway with me to get the infokey, or can I just get the serial # for the I2 and bring it with me to the dealer? |

Take the infokey and the paper with 3 barcode which come with the Segway sitting in long white box, any Segway dealer will be able to program it for the i2.

If you only provide the serial number, the dealer need to request a code from Segway Inc, it will need extra day and will occur an additional charge.

I would just add that not all dealers can do this in-house. You may be wise to call in advance to check they offer this service locally. If not, they may be able to send it on, on your behalf, to a service centre capable of doing the work or even back to the 'mothership'.
In theory it should be cheaper than buying a new InfoKey (as you are providing the donor) but if the price is not too different, you might be wise just to buy an additional unit and keep your second InfoKey spare.
