Default Elastomer Kit

What's an Elastomer Kit and how will I know when I need one?

Thanks!

Segway "elastomers", or elastomeric couplings, are gear-like bits of plastic that are inserted into the drive train on each side. They help minimize metal-on-metal wear and reduce noise.

Most often, when new couplings are needed, one starts hearing "gear" noise, clicking, or other noises coming from the drive.

Here's a link that shows the couplings.
