i167/i180 fenders
will tires/rims/fenders from a 180 fit a 167?
I see some new yellow fenders for sale for an 180, they certainly look the same as the 167. I emailed the seller and he just said "they are for an i180" in fact except for the pattern on the wheels, I find it hard to tell the i167/170/180 apart. Thanks Dan |

You can do that
Gen One i series are pretty interchangable on those kind of parts.
So it is always a good thing to check those used machines that you buy. You may think that it is a I-170 or 180, when it is an I-167 dressed up. Remember the yellow I 180 plastic used in the fenders is more brittle than the other colors. I like the I-167 the best machine wise, and it is always fun to give it a little pizazz with some color!

Thanks for the reply.
We've been happy with the i167, which we bought at the dealer in Concord NH for 1995.00 which appears to be a good price, also picked up extra set of batteries and external charger for 200.00. they had one more used i167 left for the same price, perhaps could have gotton both for a few 100 less. Wish I had. Now we are looking for another, perhaps even a P-series. curious seeing you have one, I hear some strange noises, almost like a wheel bearing, now and then depending on riding conditions, is this normal? what type of maintainance can I expect if any. I'm hoping little as this is pretty much an electronic device ordering the yellow fenders w/splash guards and yellow collar now Dan |
