I was under the impression that you had one key that works. That's the easy place to start.

If you have the 16-digit base code, and appropriate software to encode the speed and turn settings (etc.) and then compute the CRC, and write the key, then I think that would work.

But note that I have never tried that - I've always modified coding from a working key.

Default Got 3 segways for parts

Hi,
I got 3 segways, in 2 of them main board is working so I have keys, unfortunately I have just one handle BAR, and this one also is little broken and has wires near the connector that are not working all the time, the last one has no key (non of the keys I got working for it), but it has some numbers on the chassis (this is why I have the question).
Also it has missing motor, so I hope the controller is not locked due to powering it on with no motor (it has a gear, and when I opened it I was amazed to find out that the motor was pulled out, since you have to be very skilled to power on this 3 phase motor alone, or may be someone took it from his segway)
Got all from Junk yard

Thanks,
R

I just looked at the 12 decimal digit serial number on one of my XTs.

As far as I can tell, that has no relationship to the 16 hexidecimal digit key code that is written in the ibutton key.

So, unless you have found a 16-hex-digit code somewhere, the answer would be "no".
