Snapped a wheel bolt
I somehow got it into my head that the torque spec was 50 ft-lb when it's 26. I've been tightening to 50 since day one, and should have realized that I was overtightening because it always felt like the head was slipping in the plate. Now I realize that the bolts were twisting.
Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the plate assy without having to send the whole gearbox back? I assume I should replace both while I'm at it?

I just got word from the factory through my dealer. The plate can't be replaced; I need a whole new gearbox, for $537 incl shipping.
This unit has almost 12K miles, but still runs like new, so I'll cross my fingers that I can get another year or two out of it.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.... Talk or take it to a machine shop, they will have much cheaper options!
