Everyone has the ability to read a thread from start to finish. You seem to forget this. Nothing was taken out of context or criticized. Chill out, friend.

Same problem - Same solution - WORKED!
I too got the RED LIGHT charging problem with an old battery I had that got red after I completely drained out the battery by having it on until self shut-off. (Unintentionally.) Voltage was 5.7 and the other was 74-ish.
I followed dale's advice. I bought a 0-60V digital controlled Power supply unit at ebay for 73USD, this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Precision-Co...item20eb7561b8 Then I charged the battery with max voltage for the PSU, 63.6V on the meter with 100mA. It took about 60 seconds to reach 50V and then I let it go for another 10 minutes, it reached 54V and then I unplugged it from the PSU and attached it to the Segway - which started to charge the battery immediately and now - 10 hours after - It is fully charged! Thanks Dale! |
