I have the stand on X2, i2 and X2 Golf. Flordia will know the right one for you.

Yes it will. There are 2 versions and the X2 version has a slightly longer leg to allow for the raised platform height of the X2 compared to the i2.

Does it lock into place? I use it on a bus and needs to be strapped down, so a "kick stand" type works best...But I love the tucked away ness of that stand..
Any input from owners? |

No, I have one on my i2, and the "auto" part makes it retract as soon as the Seg is tilted back...

One around the lean steer and I attached the second to the back of the base using the two screws in the middle of the facia that has the red reflector strip. jeff

like the SEG stand might retract if I hit a bump or something else strapping it down... But thank you everyone for describing it... Kickstand ok I guess? |

But for securing it on board vehicles, I use shock cord. I have *never* even considered using a kick stand of any time; it would just get in the way of securing it. On Caltrain, I tip it on the side and secure the leansteer. It's not their recommended procedure, but it's better. There's a shortage of attachment points in general on their trains (for Segways or anything else). I seldom use BART, but I just hold it. I've never taken a bus. I regularly ride the ferry; depending on the boat and which spaces are already taken up by bicycles, I have a variety of techniques for securing it, all using shock cord. I have the lower cargo frames attached; they make securing the Segway much easier and more flexible.
