I would guess after 20,000 miles, Blinky would have bags under his eyes!

Another 10K Club Member!
Today while pulling up to crosswalk i2 odometer rolled over 10,000 Miles.
Took 5-years 10-months. Batteries and gear box components are all original, miles per charge is only down slightly (more so in the cold months). Have had to repair the plastic Info-Key dock twice . . . somehow it has gotten damaged during the bigger unplanned dismounts. On arriving home SEG has 3 miles. Keep on Gliding, folks. |

It would be pretty cool if Blinky blinked twice (i.e. twice quickly in succession) after 20,000+ then thrice after 30,000, and so on.
But no, once he starts blinking steadily after 9,999 rolls by he just keeps on blinking in the same way forever. Well, as far as I can tell, and I have some units deployed that have exceeded more than 30,000....and probably quite a bit further, but I've lost count of how many times they have been around the clock. Interestingly, when Blinky starts blinking depends on the Units selected for InfoKey display (miles or kilometres). For example, if a Segway PT has travelled for, say, ~7,000 miles and the Units are set to miles then Blinky *will not* be blinking. But if you then change the units to kilometres, since the PT has travelled ~11,000km the odometer will show ~1,000km and Blinky *will* be blinking. Change the units back to miles again and he stops blinking. Philip

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infokey-Prot...0AAOSwoBtW6R4W The stock mounts are pretty flimsy. On her only 'dismount' my wife's Info Key went flying down the road and we didn't want that happening again. We put one on each or our machines (one red and one green so we can tell them apart) and we love the functionality Don |
