Default What's wrong with my Segway

Hello everybody, I have just got a Segway from my friend, but unlucky for me, the battery was die, and I try replace my cell of battery with my cell because I can't get new battery, it too expensive for me. I replace the battery with new mod battery about 80V, and when I plug my key, red led flashing ...I don't know what happened with my Segway. Thanks for read.

I think when I rebuilt the battery, I missing something. . I have a clip of my trouble, but I can post it now.

The segway is very sensitive to its battery, and some of the charge circuitry is in the battery, some is in the segway.

Because of this, one cannot replace a segway battery with another similar battery. It will cause much bigger and more expensive problems than the original battery problem.

Replacing the battery on a segway is expensive. Trying to save money on using something else, very often will cause you to spend even more money to repair the damage, and then buy a segway battery anyway.

That is pretty much the way it is, as I see it.

The battery that is manufactured by Segway/Valence is not a standard DC battery pack. There is a CAN-BUS interface that talks to the battery.

Unless you can open your battery and replace the damaged cells themselves, you are not going to succeed.

Your best bet will be to have a reliable battery service center repair the battery.

Kim, the owner of the Segway you are building the battery for had contacted me and he is very concern about his Segway, so please take it easy and don't feed the 80 volts into the Segway please
