Standing Still
When I release the handlebar on my I2 while standing perfectly still, it wants to rotate slowly clockwise. Is this normal?

Turns out I did have unequal tire pressures - 10 on one side, 15 on the other. Equalized them both to 16 psi but it didn't change a thing. Still rotates slowly (about the same speed as before) clockwise when I release the lean-steer while standing perfectly still
I'm guessing it's probably normal, since both of our machines do it Don |

It's not unusual, but it's not right. I have stood virtually in place for extended periods with hands off the bars.
In your case, the control system sees a minor turning input and is acting on it. Most likely culprit is a minor misadjustment of the LeanSteer frame, where it is mated to the baseplate. Search for "how-to" posts on this forum. It is also possible, although unlikely, that the steering sensors are slightly misaligned. DO NOT try adjusting those yourself. If remounting the LeanSteer frame doesn't do it, check with a dealer or Segway, Inc. |
