Hi... I'm (obviously) new around here, but I'm not new to segways. My old man and I took a tour in DC, and it was awesome. We bought an XT (the gen 1) and an i2. I personally swear by the XT, cause I like the rims (did those things come with chrome rims, or did the last owner put it on?) and the steering. Am I the only one who isn't a huge fan of the whole leansteer thing? Aaaaanyway I'm leaving now.

All XTs came with Polished Aluminum rims. I think they look much better than the black rims they ship on the X2.

Have fun!

Talking WELCOME TO SegwayChat, THE ONE AND ONLY FORUM FOR SEGWAYS...

Welcome, RollingTroll!

Jeff is correct, the chrome rims came with the XT.

No, you are not, however you may find the leansteer to be better in some situations.

Happy gliding!

Default Which tour did you take in DC?

Can I ask which company you did the DC tour with? My cousin and I are going this weekend and I need to go ahead and get it booked. If the one you took was great, I would like to do the same tour. I look forward to your response.

I think there's only one Segway distributor/rental agent in DC. As far as I know, all the Seg tours originate with them.

Capitol Segway, lnc.

Rep Burks is the owner/manager/President of the company. I bought my Segway from them and am very satisfied.

This is news to me. I always thought there were several. Perhaps not.

Thanks for the new data.

LOL - does your keyboard have an "a" on it?

Segway of Annapolis isn't technically in DC, but it's a short drive. They sell Segways. Dick (the owner) is awesome - dealing with him is a pleasure, and I got a great price (with lots of goodies thrown in). He's also affiliated with the people who do Segway tours of Annapolis.
