Hi Linda-Gloria!
The "shipper" of these batteries must be Dangerous Goods Certified for shipment by IMDG (Ocean Freight) or IATA (Air Freight). Without such certification in place customs may potentially seize your shipment if they determine that it is not shipped in accordance with international shipping regulations. The proper declaration number for these batteries is UN3480 which will provide your DG certified shipper with proper packaging, labeling, and other shipping requirements. I'm concerned for you as I have heard of innocent people thinking that the shipping is handled only to find out that they are stuck in transit due to regulation issues. I can advise from experience that international dangerous goods shipments are very complicated which is why we discontinued offering the service. I wish you nothing but the best and hope that this information assists you in your efforts. Another piece of information you will need is that these batteries are fully regulated Class 9 Hazmat with a Wh rating of 382.7Wh per battery pack.

Hi
I have an old copy of the MSDS ( 2005 vintage ). I don't know if it is still valid. Private message me your email address, if you would like a copy. Michael www.dgbint.com |
