Info Key Reset
This has happened to me over the last 3 to 4 days, and I am not sure if anyone has any ideas why or can give me any hints.
I leave my i2 to charge overnight, I come out in the morning to go to work and hit the power switch nothing, hit a 2nd time and all the data (time, date, etc) reset on the Info Key and it starts right up. Come the end of the day at work, I get the i2 from the warehouse and it starts up with no reset and all is fine. Next morning same thing happens with the InfoKey at home.... Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance. |

You need a new battery
Yes, you need a new battery in your infokey.
The battery is almost dead, that's why it sometimes loses data. All batteries perform worst when they're cold. In the mornings it's cold, so the battery just manages to start you Segway, but may lose the time data. In the afternoons, it's not quite so cold, so it starts your Segway without losing data. You need a CR2430 which should only cost a $ or 2. You can find them on eBay or at your local Radio Shack or similar store. Michael ( I know a bit about batteries ). |

Thank You!
I am sorry I did not post this earlier but I have been very busy.
Swapping out the battery worked. I had a sleepless night worrying that the issue was more complex but it was not. I really appreciate the collective wisdom here in helping me out. And for what it's worth (not a big deal) the battery is $5 a RadioShack at least in SoCal where seemingly everything is expensive. |
