Charging
I have been advised to leave it plugged in 24-7. Is that a bad idea?

i bump this thread to have your opinion of my situation :
- segway i2 build in june 2007 - bid on july 2008 - 4200kms (~2609 miles) - the batteries pack have 2,5 years At the july 2009, i can travel 29kms (~18 miles) on a single full charge at 22°C... Now, in november 2009, i only travel 18kms (~11 miles) and i have the 8 bars empty. The temperature is the same (22°C ~ 71°F). It's normal ? I use the segway at full discharge cycle every 4-5 rides... I use an electrical clock to manage the charge (OFF at night, ON at day)... I use a regenerated method (full discharge with emergy shutdown) every change of season (summer, winter,...). my batteries are dead (somes elements not located on begin or end of the pack) ? I have NOT a problem with GREEN led on charger board during the plug job.
